Tribute to Gisselle Fotography

I would just like to give a little shout out to my girl Gisselle, and Gisselle Fotography!
 I was looking at Kyden's 6 month pics and she did AMAZING!!!! She is so fun, sweet, and pretty much awesome! She genuinely loves babies, and children. She also her self is a momma to a beautiful baby boy, and still finds the time to be a photographer! You rock Gisselle, I just want you to know I appreciate all you have done for me and my family! We three love you three! :) esp you (shhh don't tell Sam & Diego ;))

Kimberly Photography

My girlfriend Kimberly Gourley has started her own photography business. She IS AMAZING! If you remember my maternal photos...ya they were amazing. I always feel so dumb getting my picture taken and she made me SO comfortable. But that's not even the best part! She is AMAZING with children and babies! She has worked for years as a proffesional nanny, and worked as a teacher in a school for children with special needs. She is SO great with kids who have special needs! She has a sincere love for all children. This is one reason why it is so easy to love her. Here are just a few pics from our recent shoot at her studio. She has such a sweet spirit that the kids can sense. Just look at the pics, you can tell how much he loved her!

I've noticed early on last week that Kyden was starting to go through a growth spurt. Yikes! This meant for less sleep, and more crying. He's not much of a cryer and I got used to that so now when he cries it drives me bonkers. Well he's gotten a little bit past his ravenous hunger and is now to a stage where all he wants to do is sleep. I LOVE IT! I think to myself "now I can get stuff done" What I actually do is spend more time in bed or on pinterest (most addictive website. It's science.). I also noticed early last week that he is going through this stage where he wants to hug, or lay his head on you (or anything that's bigger than him) If I lay him on the floor with a stuffed animal or a pillow he will bury his face in it. It is so sweet. If dad is being silly he will laugh and then lay his head on my chest, or shoulder. It is the sweetest feeling! I'm loving this age/stage!

Bath Time!

Kyden became way too big for his bathtub when he was 2 months so we started bathing him in our tub. It always hurt our back if we were not in with him so we decided to bathe him in the kitchen sink. BEST idea we've had. When telling Mike we should I told him we were all bathed in the sink, it isn't that weird. We LOVE it. Much easier on our backs! The only problem is he slips. We've tried everything. little rubber fish, a rubber mat, even a foam tub for newborn sponge baths. We just have to be cautious until he can sit up on his own. Baby Blessing 4/15/2012

I forgot to blog about Kyden's blessing! My bad! We had him blessed Sunday April 15th at 9:00AM. It was a lot of fun, and very sweet! I wish my brothers could have been here to be in the circle but that's OK. They are doing very important things in stinky Texas ;)

 Saying bye to Liam. I forgot about my camera after everyone had left so I was a little sad I didn't get any pics of Kyden with his cousin Chance. We'll have to get some next time ;)

We have teeth!

So I had to stop at Harmon's on my way home from school. While I was there I got some paste so I can brush Kyden's gums. (I'm embarrassed that I haven't been doing that already! I'm a firm believer in starting young with good healthy habits!) So I began brushing his gums when I noticed that his first tooth had actually broken through! No wonder he's been sick! It was just a tooth coming through! Funny though, I swear just yesterday it was just a little white spot, even just when I was at my dad's I swear it was just a spot! I'll post some pics as soon as I can find my camera ;) His second one is working its way through right now. Poor guy is sure to let us know it hurts!

Mikey's 27th Birthday!

For Mike's birthday I always make him whatever he wants for dinner. This year he suggested breaded chicken with Lion House rolls, Boston Market Sweet Potatoes, Funeral Potatoes, and Texas Sheet Cake. I invited his family over to celebrate and sing to him. He was so excited about the gifts...hammer, and flashlight. (he has this weird thing about flashlights. Loves them.) I was giving Kyden a bath that night and Mike came in the bathroom to show me the cool features on it. He was uber excited. He is so funny. I can tell when he is touched. His voice gets really soft and sweet, and he has a big smile. One time he said "wow, this is how I know you really do love me. You listen to the things that I say". He's a cutie.
